This could be the beginning of things to come...

On this most auspicious of days allow me to introduce myself. I am the traveling wanderer, the lonely loner, the guardian of virtue and the villain of vice, the hero of a distant fantasy, the bad guy that never wins, sometime sad, sometimes in a state of constant elation. a warrior, a stranger, a multi-colored conscience.

That being said, and being of no contextual value to anyone let me simply add that it is my utmost previledge to meet you and you my call me deJaqo.

I am a new contributor to this blog after being pestered, beleaguered, badgered, constantly hounded,, and repeatedly bugged by Melissa Wittstock AKA M. to join and contribute to this utter waste of time.

So as an opening story it was difficult to decide on what to write as I wanted something meaningful that went along to lines of me slamming down the full might of the pen, or in this case keyboard, on the utter disturbance that is salad fingers, but seeing as I am a newbie I decided to go with something silly.

Our story begins, as all these stories go, with a guy and a girl quite bored on a lovely Tuesday public holiday and were looking for some excitement.

They firstly decided on a movie as both of us had a discussion and lauged at a previous movie we saw, FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL, so we both decided to go the the theatre and see MAX PAYNE for the unmistakable desire to go see Mila Kunis...man what a beautiful and elegant creation.

So as the story goes, we hopped in the car and went to the movies...and upon our arrival we were disappointed to find that our movie (that we so wanted to go to to perv after Mila) was not showing anymore, and Melissa made a suggstion...the best idea ever for a tuesday afternoon....lets go eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, like to hungry STALKERS we scope the place out....going from restuarant to cafe, to restuarant, wanting to find the perfect food and a reasonable price (and no this is not a Harold and Kumar journey :-))

After our intense probing we realised our taste buds were craving more than one type of food and then it began.............................................................................................................................................................

THE FOOD SAFARI (working tiltle)

We opted for a journey for each meal....

Starters....Sushi (Zinbu, our first time to this cafe, legedary for massages while eating, lucky for us no massages were given)

Main Course...Rump steak, veggies and a lot of COCKTAILS (I was quite surprised that old M. was that into her rump steak, medium rare....all the guys out there...start your flirting. this lovely meal was a bit of a blur as the COCKTAILS were invasive and we lost a bit of self control and indulged ourselves)

Dessert....peacan nut pie, ice cream and iced coffee (after taking a walk to let our stomachs become less uncomfortable we decided to go for dessert. M. was in the mood for turkish delight, ice cream and bar one suace. Unfortuatley the resttaurent we decided on was closed and none of the other had that item on their menu. so we decided to go for a favourite of ours....It was VERY sweet, VERY rich...but oh so NAUGHTY!!!!!!!

We ended off the night with a nice, chilled glass of iced coffee...MMMMMMMMMMM YUMMY!!!!!

So why is this story of any meaning to the reader that also contributes to this utter waste of time blog..................................................?????

What people find fun these days are somtimes somewhat questionable and well, for us it was really a fun evening of good conversation, good food and good friendship, which is very fun.....and i would recommend all the people out there who has someone....whether it be a relationship, friendship of maybe that first date thrills...to take someone on a journey...for one night of good food, good conversation, and good times :-)

And for those who share that special bond with someone it could very much be the beginning of things to come.

This is me for now...
I hope to write someting meaningful next time
I you like this entry...hope to hear from you and if you didn't...well then don't read this blog

  1. In retrospect I do apologize for the spelling mistakes and grammar errors. Rest assured that this will not happen again.

  2. Didn't even notice the mistakes..

I like your description of our public holiday. It was indeed a fun evening. For the record..The iced coffee did indeed also have an alcoholic component.

Anyone who feels hungry after reading this post. Do yourself a favour and go eat the 300g rump steak at ciao baby. Not only do you get it at a good price, it is juicy, delicious, with a pink inside, waiting for you to byte into it..mmmmm...
