Send me a poke and go Straight to Jail, do not collect $200

What is the meaning of a poke on facebook, to friends the meaning may differ but the general idea of a poke is to say “Hi”. Strangely enough Shannon D. Jackson from Tennessee got arrest for sending a poke.

An affidavit of the court reported that the protective order filed on June 10, prohibited her (Jackson) from "telephoning, contacting or otherwise communicating with the petitioner, directly or indirectly”

The victim took a screen shot and the authorities acted on it. Jackson’s lawyer said that they are looking into the matter regarding security because it is possible that someone else might have used her facebook account.

If the court rules in favour of the poked victim, Jackson might go to prison for 11months and 29 days.

All I’m wondering is: cant facebook block certain users to certain profiles? Why not after the protective order was facebook contacted and banned the user profile? A lot of trouble can spared if people just sometimes communicate, but i guess all this trouble was caused because people communicated.

Well best of luck to JUSTICE!
