4chan is a simple image sharing community where anyone can post comments and share images. Please be warned that some of the content might not be save for work, but this applies to most sharing communities, including youtube.

4chan's collaborative-community format is copied from one of the most popular forums in Japan, Futaba Channel.

Different boards are dedicated to different topics, from Japanese anime, manga, and culture to videogames, music, and photography. Its boards are primarily used for the posting of pictures and discussion of manga and anime. Users generally post anonymously and the site has been linked to internet subcultures and activism, most notably Project Chanology.

Users do not need to register a username before participating in the community.
