Why Computers Sometimes Crash! by Dr. Seuss.
If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port, and the bus is interrupted at a very last resort, and the access of the memory makes your floppy disk abort, then the socket packet pocket has an error to report.
If your cursor finds a menu item followed by a dash, and the double-clicking icon puts your window in the trash, and your data is corrupted cause the index doesn't hash, then your situation's hopeless and your system's gonna crash!
If the label on the cable on the table at your house, says the network is connected to the button on your mouse, but your packets want to tunnel to another protocol, that's repeatedly rejected by the printer down the hall......
And your screen is all distorted by the side effects of gauss, so your icons in the window are as wavy as a souse; then you may as well reboot and go out with a bang, 'cuz sure as I'm a poet, the sucker's gonna hang.
When the copy on your floppy's getting sloppy in the disk, and the macro code instructions cause unwanted risk, then you'll have to flash the BIOS and you'll want to RAM your ROM, just quickly turn the darn thing off and run to tell your Mom!

Drink-o-meter
The Drink-o-meter calculates approximately how much alcohol you have drank over the years, how many bath tubs you could have filled and how many Ferraris you could have bought with your drinking money. It also lays out your drinking personality. Entertaining.
Try it.

Power Gig: Rise of the Sixstring. - Guitar Hero replacement
Seven45 has decided to release a more realistic instrumental game. Power Gig is a lot like guitar hero and rock band except you are playing with an actual guitar. This might teach people to play basic guitar, but unfortunately it won't teach you how to read real music sheets.
On the easiest difficulty setting the game doesn't call on gamers to switch strings -- it will register a correct note as long as the coloured fret matches up with the strum -- but on harder difficulties a coloured note in a song will display a number relating to a particular string.
The interface in Rise of the Six String looks similar to Rock Band, sending notes streaming downward with coloured cues relating to the frets on the guitar.
When not plugged into an Xbox 360, the Power Gig controller will actually work with standard guitar amps and strum like you'd expect. Will this shoot the controller prices sky high?
Power Gig - Rise of the Six String is currently slated for a Fall 2010 release, but the game is still in its early stages and information such as price and the release date are still forthcoming.
Would you try this?

View Stored Passwords on Firefox
Today as I was going through my Firefox options I noticed the most dodgiest "feature" ever in my browsing history. You can view all of your stored passwords on Firefox. It is quite easy.
Go to Tools => Options => Security tab => click saved passwords => click show passwords
I know you're trying it right now...
Mozilla sees this as a feature for people who constantly forget their passwords. I personally don't see any use to this as it is already "remembered". The site, your user name and your password is listed, canceling out all guessing as to where and how to get my online accounts.
If you share a computer with anyone, it is recommended that you use a master password. By default Firefox does not use a master password. After you have defined a master password, you will be prompted to enter it whenever Firefox needs to access your stored passwords. Note that this password only has to be entered once in a session. What if you forget Firefox open?
I still find this problematic as this means only one person may use "remember" my password for a specific computer. Just because I'm willing to "remember" my password does not mean I want people to view it,making it easy to save as a list and reuse or distribute.
I know I voted Firefox in our last poll, but I'm moving over to Chrome right away.

TigerText, the iPhone app for cheating
TigerText is a new iPhone app that is ideal for cheaters and spies. Sent messages can be deleted on demand or be set to automatically vanish after a specified period. A "delete on read" feature starts a 60 second countdown when a text message is opened and then erases it at zero. This sounds a bit like inspector gadget, with a bit less exploding.
TigerText messages cannot be saved, copied or forwarded by recipients.
Apparently the name has nothing to do with golf star Tiger Woods, who recently admitted to having multiple affairs and was rumored to have been found out thanks to some steamy text messages. The name instead refers to actual tigers. Whatever ;-)According to them "Tigers are notoriously difficult animals to track," the software makers said, noting the app was being launched in the Lunar Year of the Tiger. "TigerTexts are difficult to track as well."
While reading messages is free, the service costs $US1.49 per 250 messages sent monthly or $US2.49 per month for limitless messaging. I'm not desperate enough to pay that much, but I guess if you are earning in dollars or if you have millions, this seems cheap.
